HSDPA is not mean for online gaming.You should note that.I am not suprized you got disconnectiins with these kind of connection.Your ping are jumping pretty high.I have been having constant 120-250ms on 56k dial up modem a long time ago.

Do you really need/want 20"widescreen monitor?

The system will be always unbalanced if you want 20"widescreen monitor inlcuded in that price.There is needed a lot powerfull graphic card for such a resolution to eb able to play all games fine.

well in LFS yes but you couldnt play for example FEAR at 8xAA at 1680*150 on that card smoothly.Not even with like 2xAA.I guess he doesnt have that system just for LFS.He wants to play all games fine.

Not a bad one but 8600GTS would be not enough if you want to play at native resolution of the LCD(1680*1050).You need 8800GTS (320 or 640MB version)

I would also buy E6420 over E6320 and sacrife rather 1 HDD.

harjun,have you been thinking before making the thread in the general section that we have technical assistance section for example or hardware section.

You need to re-calibrate the wheel.The cheap one loose the calibration usually pretty quickly.

Scawen dont bother with the shift+U FPS drop issue now.I only asked for that and reported as its quite annyoing but really doesnt affect gameplay.I know this is due to missing optimization.This can have a bit lower priority.Only video makers could be very unhappy.

If your top of the case is pretty hot then the CPU must be REALLY hot.
I said it from start that the temps are really bad.

What kind of CPU cooler you have.I must have missed that in the previous posts.
This will sound kidna silly but I have good experience when you put your fingers on the bundled coller and cant keep them on the cooler for more then 3 sec the overheating is the real issue.

If you will continue like that with higher overclock,raised vcore the CPU will die pretty soon.

post it in the test section but I guess it wouldnt get unnoticed here either.

Yeh,I went of topic because I couldnt resist with your statement about Vista being more secure.I have been testing Vista and with the confusing new look and bloody memory requirements I am failing to see what it brings more over the XP.Maybe its just me.

Let us know how it worked with cable.

To test simple the packet loos just go to START in windows,Then "Run..." it will make small window pop up and just type in CMD and press neter or OK.This will make another black window pop-up and write in the command line for example "ping -n xxx(where the xxx number stand for how many times you want to ping the server/ip adress) ip adress" .

At the end of this simple test you will get min,average,max ping + packet loss.

I think the best solution would be the percentage of actually driving players but thats just my opinion.

Well you can still buy E6400 is some shops and as I said some batches of latest C2D generally are not so good overclockers as were the initial ones.

The E6420 doesnt bring too much with 4MB cache.Like 3-7percent but still something.

I am gald you sorted it.Pretty interesting bug has this mobo.
I cant help but I heard this year a lot of weird issues with ASUS mobos.DFI is hard to spot now and same with ABIT.This is getting really confusing as the compnaies which had good reputation with their mobos having such a issues.

It is always hard to guess just from the screen in the other part of the world what the issue might be.Looking directly at the PC is always easier as you can check more things quicker.I think we would found that issue with PCI-E running just at 1x pretty quickly in normal condiditon.There are programs for checking these things.

The included firewall and other stuff was already tested and failed to pass these special tests.The 3rd party and even free programs passed and got better rated so what make Vista more secure?I would really like to hear from you how.

My dog had surgery on Monday this week.Knock,knock she seems better now

I am using W45 patch and got suddenly disconnected from the Bug test server 2.Couldnt get back for 20 seconds with message "user already online".
Then I thought I am in queue and getting finally back on server. I connected abd I got disconnected again after 1 second with following JOOS message

and then got message "Did not receive Ok" or something like that.

EDITED:Cant really get back.I tried again to connect and I got message from 1 player saying something and then got meesage "did not received info from all players". What the hell.Didnt have such a problems I remember playing LFS:-(

I have also small report regarding the new DDS skin system.
When we have been using JPEG it was fine but now I am getting like 1/2 sec freeze when I am online and someone new join and the skin get converted to DDS.I really didnt have these freeze before.

While you Scawen said that it should improve things it got actually worse on my PC:-(.

@ Devil, he has a 6400, which has been discontinued since the 6420's release. I would recommend he looks up the stepping he has to see if others have issues. He's got a good cpu cooler.

sorry to say it....LOL....where did you read that.AMD control itself as well.A64 processors have simillar powersaving features like C2D processors.

Its called EIST in bios.When its enabled the cpu multiplier get lowered when the CPU performance is not needed too much.

I know that similar function on AMD A64 procesors might cause lowered FPS in LFS because sometimes the LFS cpu usuage get really low for a sec,the CPU downclock a lot and in a second the LFS cpu usage raise it takes little time the CPU clock to default but it cause a lot of trouble.
